Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore

Situated on the coast of Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula, Pictured Rocks was the first designated national lakeshore in the U.S. It's named for the stunning, multi-colored sandstone cliffs that rise dramatically from the lake's clear, turquoise waters. Visitors can experience the cliffs via a boat tour, kayak, or by hiking the numerous trails along the shoreline. The park is also home to incredible waterfalls, sea caves, and pristine beaches like Miners Beach and Chapel Beach. It's an adventurer's paradise with some of the most spectacular scenery in the Midwest.
